Approved Persons Panel (AP Panel)
An Approved Persons Panel (AP Panel) is constituted between the CAA and the AROs as well as other entities involved with Non Type Certificated Aircraft (NTCA), such as AMOs, Warbirds, Constructors etc. The AP Panel has been superceded from the Aero Club AP Scheme as from April 2019, as part of the transition of the functions of RAASA to the CAA.
The task of the AP Panel includes being the custodian of the Part 66 sub part 4 regulations, to define the appropriate regulatory requirements, furthermore the AP Panel has regular sittings to evaluate AP applications and renewals for approval.
